In Loving Memory of David L Wirsing
Donation protected
During this tumult time, our beloved David L Wirsing unexpectedly passed at the young age of 74 on March 27, 2020 with his loving wife Joan and son David by his side.
Dave and Joan went out to visit their son David and little did anyone know this was going to be the last adventure with the love of his life and son. Dave ended up in the hospital and had to undergo heart surgery. He remained in the hospital alone as he was unable to have visitors due to the current pandemic. Dave and Joan have spent every day together for the last 54 years and it is was absolutely devastating she could not be with him during his last days. He was released and he passed away two days later. Many of us never had the opportunity to say our farewells.
Whether you called him Big Dave, Dad or Grandpa, you know he was a wonderful person who touched the lives of those around him. He loved working on cars and taught his grandson Kaj everything he knew. They built a 1964 Ford Fair lane together which was gifted to his grandson for his first car when he turned 16. He has been living with his grandson Kaj and his great grand kids for the last few years. Kaj and Dave were just working on Kaj's truck "Big Red" the day before he left on his last adventure. He was not only Kaj's grandpa but also his best friend, his buddy, his pal. Dave and Joan would do anything and everything for their family and friends. He always showed an unconditional love to those around him.
We are all devastated by the loss of Grandpa Dave and were not prepared for the high cost of funeral services. We want to give Grandpa the memorial he deserves once this pandemic comes to an end and to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.
I am currently asking for donations to help Grandma Joan cover the cost of Dave's funeral services, any medical expenses Joan is left with and a memorial service.
Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help our family during this difficult time. No one should have to worry about how they are going to bring their loved one home.
As bitter sweet as it is, his great grandson Spencer is no longer alone and is sitting in Grandpas lap and playing like he always did.
Thank you so much and we will keep everyone updated when we will be holding a memorial service to cherish and remember the life of a wonderful man, Grandpa Dave!
Sincerely,
Alicia and Kaj Wirsing
