Hi my name is Dianne and I am fundraising to support a project to recognise and commemorate Ruth Dircks OAM. Ruth passed away last year. Her involvement and commitment to Dungog and surrounding communities was enormous. It covered areas in science, environment and the arts. The seat will be useful and give people time to contemplate Ruth and her legacy. I was a colleague of Ruth's in several community organisations including the James Theatre and the Dungog Arts Society. Dungog Shire Council has reviewed the proposal and approved the installation of the seat in Jubilee Park.
