As many of you may have heard, on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, Chong Yee Yang was shot and killed in a home invasion. We,the Yang family is asking for any donations you, our family, friends, neighbors and community can help with for funeral expenses to lay our father to rest.
Chong Yee Yang was a loving father, husband and grandpa. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing with his family and friends. Chong woke up that morning with the plan of going fishing, but fate took a tragic turn and ended up being his last morning alive.
We are devastated by the unexpected loss of our father. Many feelings and thoughts come to mind as we think back to that horrible morning. One that we'll never forget and will haunt us forever. We hope that no family has to go through what we're going through. Our father didn't pass away from an illness or accident, he passed from protecting his children and his home.
As much as it hurts, we know we must go on and do what's needed to give our father a proper funeral. It is my father's final wish to be buried by his parents in Minnesota, so we will be carrying out his request and holding his funeral and burial in Minnesota.
