Memorial and Tombstone for an Amazing Mom

It is where they heavy heart that I put this GoFundMe together so let's just start at the beginning she has had a liver disease for years medication always kept it under control but a few years ago she had to get put into the ICU and transferred to Newton county because she was bleeding internally they were able to get it stopped and within a couple of weeks she was able to come home she had to stay with me of course which she was not very happy with but she did not fight me until she got better and she finally got to the point to where she could go back home and everything would be fine maybe a year after that she ended up having to come live with me because her landlord had sold her home she had been in for 32 years it was a bit of an adjustment period for everybody but we eventually fell in sync and got a pattern and schedule going this year at the beginning of March she had to go back to the hospital again because of the same issue we were able to get it stopped and under control again and by the end of March early April she was able to come home but when she did come home she was extremely weak she couldn't do for herself what she normally would do we had home health come in physical therapy coming and it just didn't seem like it was working but we were still trying to get her back to where she needed to be but before that could happen on June 2nd which is the day of her 75th birthday I had to call the ambulance to come and pick her up because she was once again bleeding internally I was so hoping that we would beat this again but this time she was listed in critical condition her blood pressure was so low she had a lot of fluid build up in her abdomen that made it to where she could barely breathe without a more advanced oxygen machine on her and the hospital staff had to talk to me about my options obviously which was terrible to say the least because even though I was hoping and praying we would beat this again for the third time the odds were against us they couldn't drain the fluid because of her blood pressure they cut in go inside to figure out where the bleeding was coming from because of low blood platelets and then to top off an already difficult time she got an infection which we thought we were treating with medication but when they done more blood work they noticed that her white blood cell count was through the roof which meant that it was turning septic which was not good so with a heavy heart on June 9th 2025 at exactly 9:10 p.m. she passed away after I had to make the most difficult decision of my whole entire life by unhooking the machines and letting her go she had all her affairs in order which was an amazing thing because my brain went blank and I could not remember anything that we had conversations about but believe it up to my mama to leave me little clues here and there to help me through this most difficult time but with that I'll being said she did have a policy that basically only covers the cremation and the urn but I need help with the rest with putting a memorial together or a celebration of life because she wouldn't want us to be sad and also have her tombstone engraved that is the only thing that we never got around to doing and I really would like to give my mother one hell of a tombstone because she was one hell of a lady and she will be missed greatly by everybody who have met her who have known her she was just awesome and if it wasn't for her me and my sister would have had a horrible life but she took us in in her 40s and raised us to be the women we are today so please with all that being said if y'all could find it in your heart to help me give my mama exactly what she needs in her resting spot that would be greatly appreciated

I would also like to take a moment to thank my village the ones who have been there for me since day one since I had to say goodbye trust me I feel the love and I couldn't be more grateful to have people like y'all in my life

I also want to make an edit on this to make it aware that my mother love the beach in 2 days before I had to let her go we had a conversation that she was going to get better and we were going to the beach to the point to where I canceled my anniversary trip with my husband to focus surely on making sure she got better and to plan our trip to the beach because at that point in time I was 100% sure my mother was coming home so would that being said most of this money will be spent on getting her memorial headstone placed at her grave site but I will also be using some to take her to the beach one last time and I'm only going to spread just a handful of ashes in the ocean and the rest of them are going in the ground because she never wanted us to keep them and that is fine and okay with me but I'm going to make sure with everything that I have in me that she makes it to the beach one last time thank you for listening thank you for sharing and thank you so much for donating it means the world to us
