Melissa Barnett - Fresh Start Move

I am organizing this Go Fund Me page to help my dear friend Melissa Barnett. She always finds the time and resources to help others but refuses to ever ask or accept help for herself. So I am reaching out to all of you to see what we can do collectively to help her start this new chapter in her life. A little bit from each of us can mean a lot to her, and a new beginning.
Melissa is moving to a modest home in North Central Florida that with our help will be all hers in a very short time. But it needs a lot of work to make it livable. This will finally be the safe place she can come home to and have room for her furry ones too. She will have the space to do some rescue again, board and groom on a small scale, and have her beloved Poms as well. In other words, she’ll have everything that makes her heart happy!
The home does need some repairs as mentioned above. It needs some roofing, flooring, debris removal, deck work, and a small fenced area for the furry kids. Also needed prior to moving day is a new patio door, light fixtures, rental truck/movers, and lots of other minor repairs and replacements. With her disability and no additional income, this all is just not possible for her to accomplish alone in such a short time frame. There will be much more to do in time but this will allow her to get settled by September 1, 2017.
I hope that we, as her friends, can come together and show her our love and support as she ventures out to regain that smile and happiness in her heart and mind. If there is any other way you wish to assist that would be welcome as well. Please contact Melissa by PM if you can donate any of the following: Riding mower, weed eater, vinyl or laminate flooring, light fixtures, some furniture, assistance in painting and moving. Feel free to contact her and offer your help or even just your words of encouragement.
She has had a rough couple of years and has really made the best of everything, considering. I hope you will join me in assisting her in finding the safety and happiness she deserves. No amount is too small and every dollar will count towards this wonderful new beginning! Remember, it doesn’t take much to make a big impact on someone in need! I know she has been there for me too many times to count.
