Melanie Beach's Memorial

The day after Mother’s Day, Monday May 11th Melanie Beach passed suddenly and unexpectedly leaving her sons Alexander, Christopher and Samuel Molina, and two sons she picked up along the way, Logan Preston and CJ Thomas. She became a Grandmother on November 24th 2019. She has been the best teacher to her students at Wilkerson intermediate school since she moved here to Texas from New York in 2008. In March of 2020 she was diagnosed with Stage 4  colon cancer. We hope once we get her ashes we can take a trip to West Gilgo, New York and drop her ashes in her favorite place. Covid-19 made it impossible for us to see Melanie in her last weeks in the hospital/ therapy nursing home. This also made it hard to expect her death not realizing how sick she was really getting. Her favorite things to do were have dinner out with her family, teach, go to the beach and play candy crush. Her treatment plan was to go through chemo treatment for tumors on her liver and her colon and eventually have surgery. Unfortunately, she had many complications before starting and spent most of the last month in the hospital. 


Melanie was the sole provider of so many people and the rock in her sons’ and close friends’ lives. The money will provide 3 months of bills like utility, phone, car note, car insurance, the cremation and memorial service that were so incredibly unexpected. This also includes some of the hospital bills from the month and a half of extensive care. We are also accepting donations in lieu of flowers for the memorial, and we greatly appreciate all the love and support we’ve received so far from the many people Melanie cherished so much.
