Meghan’s Breast Cancer Fight

Hi, my name is Lindsey Lawhon and I’m a friend of Meghan and Randy Bergman. I have created this GoFundMe to help the Bergman family as Meghan fights breast cancer. This super mom of 3 young boys, wife, and nurse continues to work while undergoing cancer treatments. They have never asked for financial help before but could absolutely use support of friends, family, and community members right now.

As some of you know, Meghan was diagnosed with breast cancer on March 23, 2023. Meghan is a 41-year-old mother of three amazing boys: Colton (8), Cooper (6) and Cash (3), and married to Randy.

In early March 2023, Meghan was having some discomfort in her breast and during a self-examination she found a couple of lumps. She immediately sought medical treatment and things moved quickly from there getting a diagnostic ultrasound, biopsies, CT, MRI, and appointments with a surgeon and oncologist. With her kids at the forefront of her mind, Meghan started chemotherapy on April 18. That initial 8-week regime finished up on May 30th, Meghan and Randy’s 14th wedding anniversary. She started her second round of chemo on June 20th and will get that once a week for 12-weeks, after that she will have surgery and then radiation. During her treatment Meghan continues to work, only taking her ‘chemo days’ off and she never missed a school event, baseball game or family night no matter how tired or sick she felt.

As you can imagine, the medical bills are starting to come due and after surgery, she will need 4-6 weeks off from work to recover. I am asking for the help of friends, family, and supporters to take some of the financial burden off Meghan and Randy so Meghan can focus on her health, family and recovery with minimal additional strain and worry about how the bills are going to get paid.
