Meghan and Jake Housefire fund
Spende geschützt
Hello, as a lot of you may know Jake and I had been working and saving for quite some time in order to get ourselves and the children out of Flint and into a beautiful country dream home in Flushing. In November of 2020, we were FINALLY able to make the dream a reality and spent our entire savings to do so. We bought an absolutley gorgeous 120 year old farmhouse along a creek. Sadly only 3 months later our dreams were shattered by a devastating housefire. The contents of our house is an absolute loss. My children's bedrooms and the attic (which had all of our family heirlooms, the kids baby souvenirs like crib cards, baby blankets, and baby pics were stored) took the worst hit, however whatever wasn't destroyed by fire or smoke, was done in by the water damage. The house had zero firebreaks and as a result went up like a box of tinder on a 100° day during a drought. We are so very thankful that we are all safe and sound however we now have to start completely over. We have to totally rebuild our house and not many personal effects are going to be salvagable. Our plan is to purchase an RV/camper so that we can remain on-site while we rebuild. We do not like having to accept help from others, however we accept that in this instance our choices are very limited. We need all of the love, help and support we can possibly get. Words cannot express the emotions that we are dealing with at the moment, we are still in a bit of shock but have had to put emotions aside and push forward.
❤The outpouring of support amd love from all of you has moved us more than we can form the words to describe. Thank you everyone so very much. It truly does take a village, and we have the most amazing village behind us. ❤
