Donate to Megan Murphy's Memorial Family Fund

We report with great sadness and a heavy heart that Megan Murphy, my beloved partner and devoted mother of Leah, died on Feb. 22 in a Bay Area hospital. This effort is entitled "In Loving Memory of Megan" to offer her friends, family, associates, colleagues, and acquaintances an opportunity to help her family through this devastating loss.

We are devoting our efforts, thoughts, prayers, and energies to Megan's memory to ensure that this terrific person's spirit, vulnerability, authenticity, strength, intelligence, and sense of humor live on long after her last breath.

The funds will offset significant medical expenses – This catastrophic illness will generate tremendous hospitalization costs considering her four-month stay in an intensive care unit. We still are calculating what costs our family will incur. Megan would want her family to thrive regardless of the circumstances, and donations here will go towards relieving the burden of what could be a life-changing financial situation.

Megan touched the lives of many friends, colleagues, and family with her warm personality and kind heart. We are sincerely grateful for any support you can send our way. All donations will benefit our family as we navigate this tragic event.

Megan was a well-respected speech therapist at Watsonville High School, and she touched many lives by building personal connections with the people in her life. She loved her Aptos home, and most of all, she loved her daughter, Leah, age 9, and her pet bulldog, Olive. Please join us in our efforts to help Megan's family get the best possible relief.
