Meg and Milly’s Cambodia Experience

Hello, our names are Meg and Milly and we are both 15, turning 16. In the summer of 2023, we are flying to Cambodia, Asia for a school trip with the company Camps International. In Cambodia we will be working as a team with other members of our school to build sustainable housing, schools and other such facilities to help aid less fortunate families and children than ourselves; all whilst being immersed in their culture and taught all about their country and religion. In the 4 weeks we will be spending over there we will be also taking part in reforestation projects to aid the rainforests which have fallen victim to ruthless deforestation and therefore the loss of habitats for many endangered species. To be able to go on a once in a lifetime opportunity trip we will need to raise a considerable amount of money to be able to afford it. To achieve our goal of raising £3980 each we will be taking part in various fundraising events, which we will be organising ourselves. Doing so will help to build resilience and team working skills.
