Medical Service Trip to Peru 2024
Donation protected
Friends and family,
My name is Griffin Lamp, and I am a student at the University of Florida. I plan on applying to medical school next summer. I am fundraising to attend UF GMT's medical service trip to Peru this winter break. Global Medical Training, or GMT, is a non-profit organization that provides free medical and dental services to underserved communities in Central and South America. Last year I went on my first trip with GMT to Panama, and it was an incredible experience. I was honored to use my abilities with the help of my donors to provide such an essential human right that many people across the globe can't afford or access. I have attached photos from this trip below. Since then, I have become the medical director for UF's GMT organization. This means that I oversee all medical operations and train all new members before attending their first trip. This year, as medical director, I will be attending the trip to Peru. The money that I raise goes towards medical & dental equipment, pharmaceuticals, transportation, and all other expenses needed to provide this free service. On previous trips, UF GMT has served more than 700 patients within just one week of being there. This is a great cause that is very important to me and helps hundreds of underserved people gain access to adequate health care without any financial stress. GMT also serves as an opportunity for me to gain clinical experience, interact with patients, and better understand the field that I want to enter. Please consider donating to my fund, Thank You!
