Medical service trip to India!

Every summer, medical students at Creighton University School of Medicine organize trips abroad to provide severely underserved rural populations with medical relief and assistance through Project CURA (Creighton United in Relief and Assistance). This year, our CURA group is going to India to provide these services to such deserving communities!
As part of the Creighton family and Jesuit community, we are striving every day to be more of what St. Ignatius wanted to see in people: to be men and women for and with others. It is in these attempts to become more like him that we are choosing to go to India and deliver much-needed relief and assistance to those communities who need it most.
We are working with the organizations Catholic Health Association of India (CHAI) in Telangana (http://chai-india.org/), and Tara Mobile Creches Pune (TMCP) in Pune (http://taramobilecrechespune.org/). With these organizations, we will not only be directly delivering this necessary medical relief to the communities, but we will also be learning practically necessary and critically important clinical skills that we would not gain anywhere else!
Any funds raised through this gofundme will be used for two things:
1. to purchase supplies to provide for the communities, including food, medical supplies, clothing, etc.
2. whatever remains will be split between lump-sum donations that will go directly to CHAI and TMCP in further efforts to provide relief to these underserved areas after we have left and helping us pay for our travel expenses.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 by May 10th (10 days before we fly out) to benefit these underserved and impoverished communities in India.
We know that this is a hefty goal, but we absolutely believe it is achievable. Any amount that you are able to donate would be greatly appreciated and would mean the world to us and these communities we wish to serve!
