Hello dear friends and family. Last night my stepfather passed away in a hospital in Bogota, Colombia. He and my mom were running an errand and enjoying some time together in Colombia and his death was completely unexpected and has been devastating for my entire family, especially my mother Claudia. Being out of the country, they had no medical coverage and my mom has had to pay out of pocket before any procedures or movements were done for my stepdad. She has also had to cover funeral costs in Colombia in order to be able to bring home his ashes. My sister, my uncle, and I will be traveling on 5/7 to be with them for a funeral mass on 5/8.

Please consider donating as this has been so unprecedented for us, and our entire lives are about to change. We are all having to take time off work to travel and will have to arrange funeral proceedings in the USA as well.
