I am appealing to the generosity of our community to help another member of our ProgDay family in need.
Most of us know Geoff Logsdon as a long-time member of ProgDay's production staff and we have missed his presence on the Storybook stage the last 2 years. What many don't know, however, is that Geoff has been absent to care for his wife, Kelli, who is critically ill.
Born with scoliosis that was never addressed during childhood, Kelli's world now revolves around managing chronic pain and coping with advanced degenerative disc disease. Kelli's condition has progressed to the point where she is unable to commute to the doctors and resources she desperately needs and has grown increasingly weak with muscle degeneration. Most of her time is spent bedridden with no family of her own other than Geoff to assist with her daily requirements.
Needless to say, the bills are beginning to mount.
Geoff and Kelli live in a small rural town an hour north of Atlanta. Specialized physical therapy for scoliosis and pain-management has been identified in Atlanta with a nearby lodging arrangement to facilitate transport. A three-month program to address these needs may successfully bring Kelli to a point of being mobile and to live as productive a life as possible. Right now, this opportunity is beyond their reach.
Any financial assistance our ProgDay family can provide to help Geoff in this endeavor will be greatly appreciated - perhaps more than we know.
