Ted is the brother of promoter Brad Whitfield and also his right-hand man while at Cocopah Speedway or Central Arizona Raceway during the winter months. Ted always greets everyone with a smile and a friendly voice. Tragedy has struck and he has had some complications from his diabetes. Ted will be out of work for quite a while to heal and may not be able to go back at all. Surgery was completed this morning, and he will be having at least one more surgery next Monday. Anything no matter how big or small will help with surmounting medical bills and financial hurdles he will now be faced with.
