Medical Expenses for Rod & Anita Brown

This fundraiser is for Rodney and Anita Brown. The goal of this fundraiser is to help them with the costs of care and medical expenses as they fight his battle with ALS. Bari and I, after many years of friendship, laughter and love are more than happy to host this fundraiser for longtime friends and community members who have in the past given selflessly of themselves in service to the community. Not only did they volunteer for years to help with many sports programs and concessions, but Rod built locker rooms, the football shed, which included the meeting room and trainers' office area and necessary masonry work to aid with football field/practice areas. Anita worked for years in the schools. They have spent many countless hours helping friends, their children, their children's friends and members of the community. The work they have done will span multiple generations of use for years to come. Not only did Rod own his own masonry business he worked for years driving for SAD 60 bussing kids all over the community. His journey began about 4 years ago. Suffering with some symptoms he could not explain he went to the doctor and was first diagnosed with Parkinsons disease. After a year plus of being treated for Parkinsons and not benefiting from treatment they visited more specialists, more tests only to find that he was misdiagnosed and in fact was found to have ALS. The last three years have been a true challenge. Not just for Rod who is fighting this debilitating disease, but for his family who fights alongside of him.
