Help with medical expenses due to negligence

After sharing a bit of my journey online I have had so many people reach out and ask if they could donate to assist me. Anyone who knows me, knows I am the last person who would ask for help. For those who don’t know, I underwent a simple hernia repair in 2022 little did I know this surgery would change my life forever. After waking up I was told from the surgeon that it all went well and I was fine to go home the next day, the next day came around and I had a dressing change before leaving. When the dressing was removed I was outraged to find out my belly button had been cut out completely, leaving me with a 20cm scar instead, not once was this ever discussed or consented to. After the shock of this I went home and begun the healing process, not even a week later I was back in hospital due to severe pain and a large mass above the scar, it was then that my wound was cut open in a non sterile area. This was the beginning of it all, I spent 2 months straight in hospital with sepsis and golden staph and an open wound 15cm long and 10cm deep in my abdomen . I underwent surgery several times a week to flush out the wound, as well as a drain / vac machine. After 9 months I was cleared to return to my normal life, but that was only the beginning. Since 2022 I have had continuous issues, I have suffered from PTSD, trauma, depression, anxiety, chronic pain and chronic fatigue. In March 2024 I was let go from my job due to the amount of time I had to have off due to these issues. As you can imagine this has taken a massive toll on my mental health and body image, something that shouldnt happen to a then 23 year old. I am now working with a barrister to sue this surgeon that not only removed a body part without my consent but for medical negligence. I also have to see my GP weekly, receive injections every second day, rehab, therapy, and medication which is costing me over $300 a month. As you can imagine this is extremely hard to do when I haven’t received an income for 7 months and have no idea when I will be able to return to a job. Any little bit will help and will be put towards all the expenses listed above, any left over donations I will be donating directly to the End Sepsis Foundation.
