Medical Brigades, Panama 2020- Kayla So

My name is Kayla So and I am a first-year student at Tulane University. I am raising money to volunteer in Panama to help provide medical services to local residents. These funds will be used towards the Medical Brigade mission as well as purchasing supplies needed for our medical service project, transportation to the service site, and fund additional Global Brigades initiatives that serve under-resourced communities in Central America.

Global Brigades is the world’s largest student-led global health and sustainable development organization. Many communities still receive Medical Brigades, and the GB-Panama team has partnered with local governments to establish long-term access to healthcare resources through a comprehensive community health worker program (CHW) . The final goal is to evolve each community relationship past direct interventions into one of follow-up and impact monitoring.  

I want to reach this donation goal by February 3rd. Your support towards this trip is meaningful to me as a current pre-medical student with goals of becoming a doctor in crisis areas. I am grateful for your help towards me and the community in Panama.
