Throughout the year, the generous Elves over at TechOps, aka: “The Folks Who Keep The Reindeer Flying” work hard to raise funds for a Bicycle Drive. With the funds raised they purchase and assemble hundreds of bikes for children throughout the community and for a second year we are honored to be asked to help support TechOps in their mission of spreading Holiday Joy.
Our goal as Medallion Members is to donate 100 bikes by Thanksgiving. We’ve partnered with a local sporting goods store to purchase each bike and helmet for $70. If you haven’t done the math already, that means we must raise $7000 by Thanksgiving!
What is being asked of each of you is to consider donating $70 to buy a bike for a child who may not otherwise have one. Individuals who donate $1000 or more will receive a special invitation to visit Tech Ops and help the elves assemble bikes. Even if you can’t contribute the full cost of a bike, any amount is appreciated as we work to toward our goal.
