Help Chef Eron* feed young people in need during this global Pandemic.
Chef Eron is preparing and delivering 100 meals per day, three days a week to Baltimore Safe Haven which provides food and social services to homeless youth. He has committed to producing and delivering 1500 meals thru the end of May, and longer as needed. Other locations may be added by the City of Baltimore Mayor’s Office of Children and Family Success (MOCFS).
Chef Eron is donating his skills and time to prepare and deliver the meals. The Brookings Institute is donating the use of its kitchen to help kick-start this special effort.
Here's a behind the scenes look at Chef Eron preparing 100 meals a day.
What is needed is funds for purchasing food for Chef Eron to cook and for packaging materials for safe serving and delivery. In the event that more funds are raised than are needed for food preparation and delivery, all remaining funds will go to support the needs of Baltimore Safe Haven.
In order to ensure that others can eat, and knowing that every donation counts, please donate as you can, and share this with as many people as you can.
*Chef Eron was classically trained at the Culinary Institute of America and has more than two decades experience working in fine dining restaurants in New York, Massachusetts, Maryland and D.C.. He is currently Executive Chef at the Washington, DC Waldorf School; and is owner and Executive Chef of both Foxhall Catering, and Cured and Crisp, the specialty better bacon and sausage company whose products are sold in local grocery retailers.
