Meals for Heroes Ottawa

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, eating healthy food remains an important part of maintaining our health. Dealing with this pandemic is especially hard on healthcare workers who are now working extra long shifts and don’t have enough time to prepare nutritious meals, as well as on homeless individuals due to limitations imposed by the lockdown.
Meals for Heroes is an Ottawa-based, not-for-profit, initiative committed to supporting local frontline healthcare staff and homeless individuals by providing them with free delicious and nutritious meals prepared by local caterers.
By doing so, we aim to contribute our part in helping our healthcare Heroes and homeless individuals maintain their physical and mental well-being, and support the local economy.
We are a team of uOttawa Faculty of Medicine students leading this initiative. Our mission is made possible by your generous donations.
50% of our proceeds will go to feeding frontline workers (at organizations such as TOH & Montfort) and 50% to organizations that support homeless individuals (emergency shelters such as Cornerstone Housing for Women). Your support is highly appreciated!
