Meagan's Kicking Cancer's Ass!
Beschermde donatie
I met Meagan in July of 2017. I walked in Southwest Airlines Headquarters and saw this girl with tight blonde curls and a huge smile. I could tell she was just as much lost as I was and asked if she was here for the flight attendant interview, she was. We had our pressed business skirt suits on and were both sweating profusely through them- another balmy Dallas July day (great interviewing weather). As we made our way into the People Department, we got to talking about where we stayed. I honestly couldn't tell you now where I stayed as its been a thousand hotels later, but her's had bed bugs and the staff wouldn't do anything about it. So, she had to get another hotel on her own dime. I couldn't believe it. Eww! Anyways, many hours later (or at least what felt like it) the interviews were over and the shuttle came to pick me up. Except she wasn't on it and I wondered for months if we both got the gig.
Fast forward to October 2017, there she was in the training building "YES! We made it!" and we hugged. Unfortunately, we were in different classes but all that matters is that we survive training and then eventually the 6 month probation- and we did!
Here we are four and a half years later all settled into our bases, I'm in Denver and Meagan's in her home of Las Vegas living our flight attendant dreams. Then February 4, 2021 hits her and her family with a wave of bad news, the melanoma that she's been fighting has upgraded to Stage 4 and metastasized into her lungs.
Now, she is a beast. A Coast Guard vet, worked for LVPD, and is a Southwest Flight Attendant, she will kick it's ass, no questions. Yet, she'll need the strength of the community to lean on. So, I'm starting this GoFundMe for her and Fiancé so that they don't have to stress about money, bills, etc.. Even with insurance this is going to be expensive and she needs as much rest and peace as possible.
So, let's show Meagan some LUV!
