Our vans will bring your help to Ukraine

Along with the rest of the world, we are watching the war in Ukraine with sadness, and trying to do what we can.

 

We will be driving to the Ukrainian border in our own vans, taking essential medical supplies and items to refugee camps, and bringing back a group of Ukrainian people seeking refuge and support in Portugal. When we return, we'll help Ukrainian families find homes and jobs.

 

Your donation will go directly to fuel, toll costs, food, accommodation, essential supplies, and anything else urgently needed to get from Lagos to the Ukrainian border and back safely (about 3.700 km one way).

 

If you want to donate practically, the following items are needed and can be dropped off at Barlavento Primary School, Aljezur and Vale Verde International Schools by 16:00 on Friday, 11 March, or at Bombeiros Lagos daily at 18:00-20:00:

 

- First Aid kits (see photo below)

- Baby food and nappies

- Tinned food of any kind

- Socks and underwear for men

- Torches and batteries

- Candles

- Tourniquets (desperately needed and hard to get, see photo below)

- Walkie-talkies

- Mobile power banks
