We're adopting!

We felt the call to adopt at the very beginning of our relationship. In fact, we actually talked about it on our first date over Chinese food...long before we ever thought about getting married or starting a family. After the loss of our first baby last year, we knew we were ready to start a family and began the process and adoption just felt right to us.

We were told that we would struggle with fertility, so you can imagine our surprise when we found out we were pregnant in the middle of the adoption process! We decided to keep pursuing our adoption and this was one of the easiest decisions we have ever made. Some have called us crazy, but to us adoption has never been about "getting a baby" or our "Plan B." Instead it has been about fulfilling a desire that we feel the Lord planted in our hearts long ago. So here we are, planning for two miracle babies!

We have felt very conflicted about asking for help financially. We feel very blessed financially and so thankful that our savings account has even made adoption an option for us! We are both blessed with great jobs and a beautiful home that we can't wait to raise our little ones in.

However, after we became active a few weeks ago we realized we are saying no to 90% of the cases we see due to finances. We feel frustrated, and wish we could say "yes" to every case that is presented to us. We feel lead to ask for help, and here we are.

We also have a few fundraisers planned (cook-outs, t-shirts, etc) so keep your eye out for future events! If you feel led to give to our adoption fund, we can not thank you enough. We believe the perfect baby is out there for us, and there are no words to describe how grateful we will be to bring them home!
