Ferguson-Florissant Student Books!!

We are teachers at McCluer North High School in the Ferguson-Florissant School District.  I'm sure you've seen us on the news in recent months.  We have had a community-changing experience, and we are trying to create teachable moments about life-long learning and how communities can be affected by educated, motivated citizens.  After speaking with some of our students, we realized that they are willing to read but want more relevant material.   We simply are not a district with a budget large enough to support purchasing enough materials to cover all that we would need, so we are reaching out to you--the world community that wants to see hungry students turning into educated citizens with the help of a few motivated teachers.   Although the Senior English teachers are starting this campaign, we know the need for books goes beyond our classes.  Any funds donated beyond our goal will stay in this school and be used to buy books to expand our library.
