Mayor of Stockton-on-Tees Charity Fundraising

Each year, the Mayor of Stockton-on-Tees chooses charities to raise money for during their time in the role. This year’s Mayor, Councillor Mohammed Javed, has chosen three charities: 

- The Halo Project 
- The Great North Air Ambulance Service 
- Macmillan Cancer Support

Fundraising in the usual ways is not possible at the moment because of the Coronavirus pandemic and that’s why the Mayor is calling for your help!

Councillor Javed is searching for 100 Heroes to raise money for these three great causes, he said: “I am encouraging 100 people to become a hero by taking on a personal challenge in order to raise £100 each, for my nominated charities. 
 
“This challenge could be anything from a sporting trial to bake sales - the choice is entirely up to you!”
