Mayor & Deputy of Winsford charity skydive

Hi,

 

I'm Nathan Pardoe, Mayor of Winsford. I wanted to do something different to raise much-needed funds for my two nominated charities and thought Joanne Moorcroft, Deputy Mayor of Winsford, would talk me out of doing a skydive. Instead, she thought it was a great idea, and we've signed up to jump out of a plane (strapped to grown-ups who will pull the parachute!) on Saturday 26th March 2022 at Skydive Tilstock Freefall Club.

 

The first charity we are raising money for is Mid Cheshire Foodbank, which I am a trustee of. I would like a future free from in-work poverty, where nobody goes hungry and foodbanks no longer exist. The Government should properly support all who need help, but until we get there, foodbanks are all that stand between Winsford families going hungry or being fed.

 

The second charity is Cheshire Autism Practical Support, known as ChAPS. ChAPS helps local families and adults with autism advice & support, whether they have a diagnosis or not. Understanding of autism is improving all the time but as somebody with an ASD diagnosis I know there is still more we can do, which is why I support the work of ChAPS.

 

Joanne & I have jump fees of £230 each to pay and have already paid the £50 per-person deposit from our own pockets. When the total amount raised goes above £360 we'll split it equally between the two charities.

 

Your support would be a big help to two brilliant charities, the Winsford community and a daft Mayor & Deputy Mayor!
