Help Max Head to WORLDS!

Donation protected

Max 1071 is the Wolcott High School Robotics team competing in FIRST Robotics Competition, a global organization that encourages students to be science and technology leaders.  On March 5th, Team Max won the Chairman’s Award at the 2017 Waterbury District Event. The team competed against 42 teams from CT and Mass. The Chairman’s Award is the MOST PRESTIGIOUS award at FIRST, it honors the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the purpose and goals of FIRST. The team earned this award through a multitude of community programs. Team Max helps the Wolcott Dog Pound by producing dog beds, the Wolcott Senior Center by providing technology assistance sessions, and elementary school students with 10 FLL teams and after school programs. In addition, the team assists FIRST by hosting 3 separate events at Wolcott High School throughout the year on top of their new ''Let's Make Stuff" project nights at the high school. The team will be recognized at the New England District Championship in New Hampshire April 5th - 8th for their efforts. At that event Team Max and 9 other teams will be judged to determine the 4 New England representatives to the FIRST World Championship in St. Louis, MO, on April 26- 29th.   While this is all VERY exciting for our team - it also brings up the subject of - money! Traveling with a team to these events is costly and we could use any help available!  Every little bit counts!!

Thank you so much!
