Matthew's well-being

Our family wanted to reach out during a difficult time. My son, Matthew Mier has recently been diagnosed with a rare brain tumor. On Saturday, May 19th, after an MRI we were transferred from Aurora hospital in Green Bay to Children's Hospital of Milwaukee, where he immediately had his first surgery to regulate his system. He had a drain put in his head to relieve the pressure from all the spinal fluid build up. Sadly, he had already lost 90% of his vision in his left eye.  I am unable to work, as we continue to be by his side everyday, as we await brain surgery on Wednesday May 30th in order to potentially remove as much of the tumor as possible.  We are asking for your support through this enduring time and long road to recovery (estimated 2 month recovery in the hospital).
