Hi everyone,
I decided that we need to keep safe and keep others safe by wearing a mask
I bought a sewing machine, (learnt to use it as I’ve never touched it before ) and began making a few hundreds of face masks for our community of Gloucester city and family friends
We as a strong community also raised funds forA&E staff in Gloucester Hospital and managed to raise nearly £800 in just over a week time in April 2020
I am hoping you decide to support this initiative to protect our vulnerable and chronically sick individuals in community by wearing a mask as this would simply reduce a risk of spread of COVID19.This support is needed in times when so many others are putting themselves on the front line for us all #thankyouNHS Remember, these are our heroes and I also want to do my bit by slowing the spread and keeping others safe
I am part of a small team in Gloucester city that is trying to help out most vulnerable at times like this on and what’s most important creating face masks for all that might need it

I’ve had some people wanting to buy masks of us, however we don’t wish to be selling masks to make a financial gain.
We understand you may want to express your gratitude by donating to our little project sowe created this donation page. The first £500 donated will be going towards the cost of materials for the masks and anything left over or exceeding our goal will be donated to Gloucester Hospital

A little disclaimer
As an amatauer - before COVID19 I had never sewn, I am getting more professional and faster day by day but there’re only so many Ican make! My record as it stands is 51 for one day at the moment, so bear with me.
I’ve sent masks to people in Slovakia and Czech Republic where it is now compulsory to wear one in public.
We aren’t sure who is or who isn’t infectious and we are doing all we know that’s our there to slow the spread as the virus spreads is through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
Not everyone Covid-19 positive displays obvious symptoms, meaning you could have it without realising and unknowingly spread it whilst shopping for necessities, for example.
