Masjid Assahaaba Parking Lot Paving
Masjid Assahaaba is part of a growing Muslim community in Columbus, Ohio. It serves Muslims from all over central Ohio.

The congregation has continued to grow over the years. We have tried to keep pace with improvements to the building and the surrounding area.
Recent projects include the completion of the second floor renovation (as a prayer room for the women). Before that, we paved the adjacent parking lot.
However, more than ever, we need to add more parking spaces. Friday prayer fills every single available parking spot belonging to the Masjid as well as those belonging to neighboring businesses. Nearby streets are packed with cars, including the alley directly behind the Masjid. There are literally no more reasonable places to park. The same can be said for Taraweeh prayers.
Insufficient parking spaces are the bottleneck. Many more worshipers would likely attend prayer services if parking was more accessible and convenient.
Our solution is to develop and pave the land owned by and adjacent to the Masjid.

We have received the following quotes:
- $6,000 for the relocation of an electric pole
- $6,390 for associated supervision and inspection by the city of Columbus during the relocation
- $129,825 for the pavement

This totals to $142,240. We have collected approximately $80,000. So, we need to raise another $62,240.
Work is scheduled to begin on June 3, 2019.
