Mary’s memorial, hospital and other arrangements

Hi, this is Mary’s sons, Tyler and Kyle. On Monday, January 23rd Mary was rushed to the hospital after falling multiple times. Her health deteriorated rather quickly throughout the week and she was intubated on Thursday evening. Our hearts are broken to inform that Mary passed on Sunday, January 29th surrounded by friends and family.

For those who had the pleasure to meet our mom, she was a devout friend, mother, and caregiver. She ensured her family was always taken care of, fed and housed any friends we had made, and made sure her boys’ and their families’ wants and needs were always satisfied, always before her own.

Mary was a fighter. She beat stage 3 Breast Cancer in January 2019, although it had some lasting effects both mentally and physically. Even with her health declining in recent years, she would muster all the strength she could to travel and visit friends and family.

The funds raised from this gofundme will be used to cover Mary’s hospital bills from last year and this year, along with her funeral and other arrangements.

Lastly, we want to say that mental health is health. We would like to take this opportunity to speak on how critical it is to value yourself. You matter. Your life matters. We must continue to raise awareness so no one has to live in fear of getting the help they need. You are not weak if you ask for help. You are not weak if you receive help. The stigma against mental health MUST be breached.
