Unfortunately, through the hard times often associated with rapid expansion and development nearby, the salon has suffered in terms of business. In 2015, Maryam had taken on new employees who promised to help generate revenue and increase the overall customer base, unfortunately, their promises did not hold true. Instead, these individuals falsified documents and took out loans under false pretenses, amassing a large amount of debt, under the Color Hairmasters name and the name of Maryam as well. Since this time, these individuals are no longer with the salon, however, we are left to pick up the pieces in terms of handling the debts that these individuals incurred.
Anyone familiar with Maryam is familiar with the fact that Maryam is a giver and constantly helps others in whatever way possible. With this fundraising mission, we are rallying together to help Maryam in whatever way possible, all of the funds raised through this will go directly to satisfying the debts that were incurred by the individuals who saw an opportunity to take advantage of a kind and giving woman, and attempted to run her business into the ground. After 33 years of following her passion of transforming lives through hair and heartfelt stories, we want to allow Maryam to continue doing what she loves, and serving the customers that she now calls friends and family at this point. Of a woman who has given so much, now it is our turn to give back to her in whatever amount possible. Any donation, large or small, is appreciated and will allow us to help the woman who has impacted the lives of so many others, as well as keep the jobs of over 25 staff members who devote themselves to perfecting their craft and putting a smile on the face of everyone who comes to the salon.
Please share with your friends and family and to allow us to help Maryam in whatever way possible, and know that with the salon and Maryam, there is always a place to go to and always someone eager to help in whatever way possible. Seven days a week, from open to close regardless of the weather or any outside factors, Maryam has been the first in the salon and the last to leave, with her main objective always being to have happy customers and help whomever she can.
