Mary, Cody & Jackie Finish Home After Being Conned

Donation protected
As you may or may not know my nephew Cody and his fiance both live with me. Cody has been with me over five years and Jackie has been here for three years.
Both are developmentally disabled.

We are doing a home addition in an effort to make our home more accomodating for their needs.

We hired Robert (Bobby) Reyes & Jo Ann Bustinza (aka Jo Ann Jacobo) working under the name Dunnrite Concrete and Excavation and KingkongConcrete.
I paid them $14,000.00 to do the excavation, stem wall and cement for a patio.

They did everything wrong. During the excavation work, they damaged and destroyed my herb and vegatable gardens, cut off ten feet of my driveway, damaged another seven foot section, and cut off the end of my front porch. He also broke the septic tank line, damaged the siding to my house, cut through an electrical wire and we now have a 40' long x 2' deep pile of soil in the back yard. We are left with a muddy mess!

When he put the forms in for the stem wall, they were supposed to be for 6".  He made them for 8" so I had to re-order all of the floor joists, flooring and roof truss. The room was supposed to be 16x26. He built it 16'2" and 26'x2". Gross neglience.

My neighbor asked for extra soil and he dumped blacktop and concrete in her yard, so I will need to find someone to remove that.

When hired, it was supposed to take one week to complete the job. I ultimately fired him at week six and asked for a refund. He refused.

I filed a complaint with the Contractors Board only to find out he is not licensed, bonded nor insured. His wife was and she's racked up over $44,000.00 in fines and fees.

I also reported them to the Marion County Sheriff, case # 21-255.

My attorney did a search and they've been sued multiple times, they don't own anything of value so the odds of being able to collect on a judgement are slim. My attorney is hopeful the District Attorney will now pursue criminal charges.

KOIN 6 news is coming out to do a segment on the story.

I've since hired a wonderful company to correct all of his mistakes and damage and we're moving forward. Funds are tight as we can not afford to simply loose $14,000.00 plus the cost of repairs.

Deeply grateful for any assistance.

Blessings!
