Mariah's Medical Journey

Donation protected
Our daughter Mariah was born at 29weeks weighing 2lbs & spent 128 days in the NICU. She is our miracle!
At the age of 5years old she began complaining that her bones hurt, February 4th her pediatrician diagnosed her with arthritis. We took her a month or so later to a pediatric rhuematologist in our home town, this doctor without running any tests simply said she had nothing wrong. Mariah is in pain daily! We sought out a second opinion four hours from home &
on July 20th she was officially diagnosed with Juvenile Arthritis. Since then we have made numerous trips for an MRI & follow ups. Mariah's official diagnosis is Poly-Articular Arthritis/Sacroiliitis. *A recent follow up on 1/17/2017 proved to show Mariah has gotten worse. She's on steroids, will soon begin weekly methotrexate injections at home, we will be traveling every 2/4 weeks to Austin for Remicade infusions-which last 2 hours with an hour of observation afterwards. She also goes in February for a procedure, fully sedated, they will pull fluid out of her hips & ankles and inject steroids wth hopes to relieve some pain. We're currently in the process of trying to have some stays at the Ronald McDonald House, depends on how full they are during our visits. So I'm reaching out for help because myself & my husband are missing a lot of work for her appointments, plus gas, lodging, & food, etc.  Juvenile Arthritis is a complicated, heartbreaking disease with no cure. Adding major financial stress is just terrible. Thank you for your time & consideration.
