Maria - Lymm High School Kenya trip 2025

My name is Maria, and I am a year 11 student at Lymm High School in Cheshire. I have been lucky enough to be selected to go and help volunteer at Cherish School this summer. Cherish School is in Kenya’s fourth largest city: Nakuru.

I am raising money for my trip, and I would be delighted if you could help me towards my goal. My parents are paying for most of the trip, but I have set a target of trying to raise £750 on my own, as my contribution. Any money raised above this amount will help me to buy supplies for the school which I will take with me such as pencils, crayons and textbooks.

I have been raising money through bake sales at school and local craft fairs, where my friends and I have also sold home-made bracelets and necklaces.
