Butler County FIRST RESPONDERS MEMORIAL ”Serving Those Who Serve Us”

Law Enforcement, Fire, and EMS who were lost in the line of duty.

Located in Alameda Park, the First Responders Memorial will “…celebrate the sacrifice of our first responders and … honor (those) our county has lost”, according to Steven Green, Butler AM Rotary President.

The pavilion and memorial stone will cost a combined $100,000 and will accommodate 150 people. The pavilion will be completed next year, while the memorial stone with names of those lost engraved on individual brass plates will be completed in 2022.

Commissioner and club member Kevin Boozel conceived the memorial for those who died in the line of duty and formed a committee. It includes Boozel, retired Adams Twp. Police Chief Bill Westerman, former Butler Twp. Volunteer Fire District Chief Greg Haughey, and paramedic crew chief Teak Baker of Cranberry Twp. EMS.

They asked Butler AM Rotary to manage corporate sponsorships and public donations through its non-profit Butler AM Rotary Charities.
