Carol Polis (57) wasn't just a beautiful soul, but a wonderful and resilient mother to her twins, Natasha and Alex (25). After losing her husband 6 years ago, even while grieving herself, Carol persevered. She loved fiercely, talked passionately, and could bring a smile to anyone's face.
On February 11th, Carol had a sudden stroke. She went into a coma and was put on life support. On the 14th, after much prayer and discussion, Carol joined her husband in heaven. Natasha and Alex are now in a position that nobody their age should ever have to face: losing their last remaining parent, even as the wounds from their fathers' passing are still healing.
Natasha and Alex's financial security has been incredibly difficult since their father fell ill. Carol had a variety of health problems that inhibited her from being able to work. Natasha and Alex are hard workers and in the past year started jobs they are both passionate about.
But now, just as their lives are starting, this terrible tragedy befell them. They are now faced with the daunting task of planning the funeral and figuring out how to live life beyond the burial.
Natasha and Alex need our help.
The finances required to lay Carol to rest are above their means, and it is for this purpose the GoFundMe will be used. All funds raised will go directly to Natasha and Alex.
