Mallary Jessica Jones, age 36, passed away on March 20, 2021 (the First Day of Spring). She was born on Friday, October 26, 1984 (a true Scorpio) in Knoxville, TN to Sheryl Jones-Goan (Perry) and Kenneth Allen Jones. Mallary was a loving daughter, sister, friend, partner, and mother. Mallary loved music and believed that music is life and that is why our hearts have a beat. She also loved nature and dancing. And, man, could she dance. She enjoyed camping, long talks with friends, and connections of the soul. She collected rocks for their healing and spiritual powers and was connected with the Earth at her roots of her being. Mallary had the voice of an angel when she broke out in song but could not remember lyrics at all. Her most fulfilling job was to be the Henchwoman for her children, a self-proclaimed title that she wore proudly. She is preceded in death by her grandfather Roy Perry Jr., grandmother Bessie Kate Perry, father Kenneth Allen Jones, and brother Christopher Allen Jones. She is survived by her daughter Mabry Annabelle Caldwell and son Malikai Michael Caldwell; her partner Michael Pierce Caldwell II; sisters Pamela Michelle Jones, Jennifer Marie Archer, and Alison Kate Jones; brothers Jeremy Goan, John Eric Jeffreys, and Thomas Goan; mother Sheryl Ann Perry Jones-Goan and stepfather John Goan; Aunt Nancy Boehm and Uncle J.C. Boehm; as well as many other family and friends that were touched by her sweet soul. The family is planning a celebration of life in the Martha Ashe Gardens at the Knoxville Botanical Gardens on Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 4:30 to 6:00 PM . The family is planning a private burial ceremony and Mallary will be buried next to her father, Kenneth Allen Jones, in the Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery in the Christus Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to for the surviving children’s savings accounts for a gift from Mallary on their individual 18th birthdays.
