Sixteen years ago, God put an adoption seed in our hearts, but He also blessed us with 3 healthy, strong beautiful girls. We have been praying for what He wants us to do and the only thing we kept hearing was to wait. Until, recently during a Sunday service when we both heard him say "it is time". On our way home Tim said: "I am ready" and he told me what the Lord had told him and I started crying because at the same time during service I heard the same thing. We can not make this up. The Lord told Tim, that He didn't give him a son because he is supposed to father the fatherless, and I heard it is time and I am gonna give you a son.
Our hearts have always been open for children and the fatherless, but He blessed us with Julia and Rachel. Later on, we asked Him to blessed us again and He did it, because he is a miracle God. Eliana's name is "my Lord has answered" because we did not need anything from modern medicine or technology. When it comes to the topic of orphans and the fatherless there is something that stirs up inside of us, something that is hard to contain.
This is an easy decision to make because our hearts are open and we have said YES Lord, but at the same time it is difficult, because we know it comes with a financial sacrifice. We just completed our home study which was schedule on our 20th year anniversary. I don't think it was coincidence. The total cost for adoption is $30,000 which includes fees for documents, agency cost and traveling. This is something totally out of our character to ask, but we are praying and believing that God has this and this is gonna be a testimony for our son, to know there is a miracle God, that he is not forgotten, that God loves him and that He is providing for him.
We are asking all our family and friends to help us reach this goal.
We are asking 1,000 people if they are willing to give $30.00 in the next 60 days. Your support will mean so much and we are grateful to have such good friends and family all over. We are praying that those that are willing to sew into this with us will be blessed 10 fold in return.
