Maggie Sottero's Cheer for Charity 2020: Team Peri

Maggie Sottero's Cheer for Charity 2020 is our Giving Tuesday focus. We’ve teamed up with Team Peri this holiday season to spread love and cheer and help children in need.

At eight months old, Peri was diagnosed with Nemaline Rod Myopathy, a rare form of congenital Muscular Dystrophy that subsequently affects the weakness in her muscles and nerves requiring a wheelchair and full-time nursing care.

Despite these challenges, Peri is a positive, sharp-witted collegiate challenging society to put the “person” first and allow their disability to be a blip in the equation. Peri founded Team Peri to help children who are going through similar situations that Peri has been through.

Team Peri is a group of collective individuals who have chosen to dedicate themselves to building a better future for children who are battling life-threatening pediatric illnesses, including cancer and physical challenges, and help raise money for a nonprofit organization, 501(c)(3), Chai Lifeline.

We’re spreading the love by matching any contributions made to Team Peri by December 15th — up to $25,000! In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting these children is more important than ever, so let’s spread the holiday cheer and feel the joy of the season.
