this is maggie.
she has been my best girl for almost fourteen years now, and she's just been diagnosed with cancer. fortunately, it's a manageable cancer, but treatment is expensive, and this is coming at a time when i am financially fragile; getting by on part-time and freelance work after being laid off from my dream job, waiting for the next dream job to come along. i am massively uncomfortable asking for help, and if it were for my own medical needs, i never would, but maggie is worth any indignity. i need to keep her healthy and pampered for as long as i'm able, and until my money situation improves, this is the only way to make sure whatever time she has left is spent as comfortably and well-medicated as a cat-queen like her deserves. $100,000 is a ridiculous "goal," but that's me banking on her living nine really full lives, and hopefully the job search will go well and i won't need to continue this fund for too long.
any donation will be gratefully received, and i am happy to provide (and maggie will tolerate) adorable pictures and stories as a 'thank you.'
