Helping Hands

Hi!  My name is Madison, I am a twenty-three-year-old living in Philadelphia, and like many of you, I have been looking for a way to help.

My friend, Tony Rim, owns a local restaurant, and his business has been greatly impacted by the pandemic.

An anonymous donor wanted to find a way to show their appreciation for the selfless health care workers risking their lives in hospitals to keep us safe. He offered to pay for meals from Tony's restaurant, for these courageous nurses, doctors, and emergency care responders. With this generous donation, Tony was able to provide 270 gourmet meals at Jefferson Hospital in only two days.

The unfortunate reality is, this tragic pandemic is putting more local restaurants, at risk of going out of business right now, than we can imagine.

We want to continue to be able to support these local businesses at a larger scale, while simultaneously feeding the brave community members on the front lines working tirelessly to protect us. We are fundraising to be able to pay local businesses to provide meals to hospitals, and the average cost of one meal and one drink is $12.50.

Think about how appreciated you could make a doctor or nurse feel by just providing one meal, and then think about the gratitude restaurant employees would experience when they find out they can keep doing what they love and providing for their families because of your generosity.

This movement begins with you, takes off with just twelve dollars and fifty cents, and provides a ripple effect of appreciation that will impact more lives than we can possibly calculate.
