Madalena’s fund to study abroad

Olá, sou a Madalena e estou a juntar dinheiro para ir estudar fora. Consegui um lugar para estudar o meu curso de sonho, Escrita Criativa e Literatura Inglesa, em Londres. Este é realmente um grande sonho meu porque acredito que me vai abrir muitas portas. O dinheiro será usado para pagar as propinas do primeiro ano de universidade (9250€) Estou grata por qualquer ajuda! Como forma de agradecimento, vou enviar uma cópia do meu trabalho de final de ano dos A-levels de Língua e Literatura Inglesa (que incluiu os meus textos “Are children with Bipolar Disorder dangerous? (Não ficção) e “Beyond Esther” (Ficção)) a todos aqueles que contribuirem com 25€ ou mais ♥️ Mais uma vez, muito obrigada!!!

Aqui está algo que escrevi com a intenção de transmitir a minha paixão pela escrita e literatura:

Durante toda a minha vida, recorri a romances, peças de teatro e textos da minha própria autoria como forma de procurar, e, assim, encontrar um desfecho gratificante, ou até recompensador, para uma história, porque, por vezes, era difícil imaginar um para a minha. Queria encontrar significado no final de um livro, porque, quer esse final suscitasse emoções de plena satisfação ou de dor insuportável, sempre me consegui identificar de alguma forma, o que sempre me trouxe um certo alívio.

Devo dizer que, no dia em que recebi o meu A no exame de A-level de Língua e Literatura Inglesa, e percebi que a minha entrada condicional na faculdade podia finalmente tornar-se incondicional, foi surpreendentemente fácil imaginar-me, no fim da minha vida — idealmente num quarto ornamentado apenas por livros, alguns talvez até escritos por mim — e compreender que o fim da minha história não é apenas um reflexo daquilo que considero ser o meu discurso sincero e com propósito, mas também da minha coragem e vontade de seguir o meu sonho. E, assim, o fim da minha história faria finalmente sentido.

Hi, my name is Madalena and I am raising funds to study abroad. I have received an offer to study my dream BA, Creative Writing and English and Literature, in London. This is truly a huge goal of mine as I think it will open a lot of doors for me. The funds will be used to pay tuition fees for the first year of university (9250€) I am thankful for any help! Here is something I wrote with the intention of evoking my passion for writing and literature:

All my life I have turned to novels, plays and pieces of my own writing as a way of searching and thus finding a fulfilling or even rewarding end to a story, because, at times, it was hard to envision one to my story. I wanted to find meaning in the end to a book, because, wether the end sparks emotions of utter content or unbearable pain, resonance seems to always be present, and that has always given me a sense of relief. I must say that the day I received my A in my A-level English Language and Literature exam, and realised that my conditional offer could now become an unconditional offer, it was surprisingly easy to finally envision myself, old and ailing, laying in bed - hopefully in a room ornamented by books and books only, maybe some even written by me - and realise that the end to my story is not only a trace of what I believe to be my sincere and purposeful palaver, but my courage and willingness to follow my dream. And so the end to my story would finally make sense.
