Maas/Leutheuser Family Recovery

"10 years ago we met an amazing woman, Claudia. During this time she has been our maid, nanny, and has assumed the role of our Mexican mother. At 1:14 today we experienced a horrific earthquake. Claudia had recently left our apartment and was working several blocks away. During the earthquake she ran to our apartment, raced up five flights of stairs, endured the tremors, and helped Angelica, William, and Nelly evacuate our building. Our building is destroyed and has been condemned. We’ve lost most of our possessions and are still processing the last 10 hours. Thanks to Claudia and Angelica’s actions Will and Nelly are safe. Kristen and I reunited with our family around 7:00. For those of you who have visited this beautiful city, our friendly Colonia, and our humble apartment keep those images alive as our home has forever changed. I want to give a shout out to our turtles Melvin and Jimmy, suerte!"

This is Jordan's account of the event's they experienced and the challenges they will face moving forward.  Their apartment has been condemned and they only have a few items that Jordan was able to salvage.  Any donations will go to help them get back on their feet and also towards relief efforts happening in our beloved Mexico City.   If you are donating from outside of the US, keep in mind that all donations are in dollars.
