Volunteering in Africa

Hi, my name is Imogen Bridges. On the 3rd of April I will be travelling to Africa to volunteer with the organisation African Impact.

During my time I will be participating in 2 volunteer programmes. The first is on the Mozambique coast, where I will be helping with the marine conservation efforts taking place in the area. After a month contributing to the conservation of the coral reefs and megafauna found in the area such as whale sharks and manta rays, I will then travel to Kruger National Park in South Africa to research and collect information about the wildlife of Kruger and assist with the conservation efforts taking place to protect Africa’s most endangered and vulnerable wildlife.

To fundraise for this trip, I will be running the Herne Bay to Whitstable Half Marathon on Sunday the 24th March. I will be very grateful for any donations which will go towards funding my volunteering and contributing to the conservation work of the amazing organisation, African Impact.
