Looking Forward

Donation protected
This year has been a tough ride for Beth and all our family. She spent probably 9 out of the 12 months having either hundreds of epileptic drops a day, or in a constant state of absence (status). She went from the cheery poppet you see in the photo above, to a bruised and withdrawn version of herself, in a wheel chair and unable to eat or talk properly, seen here.

During this time the Occupational Therapist for Cambridge County Council came out to assess our house and suitability for her needs. They advise that we build her a bedroom and wetroom downstairs, with space for me alongside, so that when her epilepsy is bad, we can keep her safe, and when she is doing well, she can work on her life skills. Their builders estimate the work to be £50,000 of which they will give us £30,000. We have to fund the difference.

As Arthur grows up we want him to know his sister is safe so he can focus on being a teenager. Seeing us carry her up the stairs and huddle over the bath trying to hold and wash her is not my dream for him. Beth is 9 years old now.

Please help us in looking forward. Any donation so very gratefully appreciated.
