Please help fund John and Cheri.  John was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia July , 2014.  He spent three and a half months in Chapel Hill Hospital.  Cheri,  drove back and forth from their home to the hospital--a three hour drive one way--while John was  undergoing chemotherapay and treatments.  She did all this while her ulcerative colitis is out of remission.  

John developed fungal pneumonia while in the hospital and had to have the central lobe of his right lung removed.  The day the chest tubes were removed, he suffered from an embolus in his lung.  After the first treatment for AML, John was in remission, however, not for long.  The Leukemia went out of remission and subsequently John has been hospitalized a few more times.  He is now doing a different treatment plan and we are hoping and praying that this works and he goes in remission. 

Cheri and John have been dedicated Girl Scout Volunteers for over twenty years.  They are two of the most generous and kind hearted people that anyone would be blessed to know.  They have selflessly given to so many for years and are always willing to help anyone in need.  

The months of medical treatments, medications, and travelling back and forth have created a financial hardship on them.   Also,  all the driving back and forth has put additional wear and tear on their 2005 Hyandai.  The tires need to be replaced, the transmission needs to be replaced and there are electrical issues.  They need a good reliable vehicle.  Please help fund them so their focus can remain on getting John well instead of having to worry and struggle with the additional expenses.
