Love for Wanda

Wanda recently and unexpectedly lost her husband of 44 years.  This unforeseen tragedy has left her with many hefty financial obligations including funeral expenses, but especially the daily care of her special-needs son, Michael.  The money raised will finance not only the daily care of Michael while Wanda is at work, but will also help her purchase a used handicap accessible minivan with rear access for his wheelchair.

 Wanda has worked in the Brandenburg front office for just under two decades.  Her nurturing and motherly nature has impacted and enriched the lives of many, even beyond the teachers and staff here at school. Because of her, the front office is a wheelhouse that people flock to. She is always there with a warm smile and a mama bear hug after a rough day.  Over the years, countless staff members have expressed to her how she is like their second mother.  Her unconditional and nonjudgmental love is genuine and is felt immediately by all upon meeting her. She is truly the heart of the school.  For someone who has always taken such great care of us, it is only appropriate to reciprocate with the same generosity.  No amount is too great or too small.  Let’s take care of Miss Wanda.
