Surprise Christmas

In the early morning hours of December 3, 2017 Michelle Wong left her home and children and drove to Auburn, CA for reasons that are still unknown.  3 days later her body was found in the Auburn forest with her cause of death being hypothermia.  By the time she was found, a mountain lion had consumed parts of her body. 

Michelle leaves behind 3 young children Tino,10, Noah, 8 and Bella, 6. Michelle’s death comes very unexpectedly as she was only 33 years old.  Not only is this difficult to understand and accept, kids at their school are bringing this sensitive issue up and asking questions which is a constant reminder of their sad and tragic loss. 

For those who are unaware Michelle’s children have suffered through a very difficult year.  On February 22, 2017 their grandmother Mayra Zamora passed away suddenly from a heart attack at the young age of 55.  Mayra was a huge part of the children’s lives and was very much involved in their day to day care.  Her death was devastating to our family as she was the rock that held the family together.

Very shortly after Mayra’s passing on May 23, 2017 their grandfather Lorenzo Guzman was deported to Mexico.  Lorenzo along with Mayra were very involved with the children and again the children had to deal with another devastating loss.

These poor children’s lives have been completely turned upside down and the life they knew has been suddenly stripped away and will never be the same again.  It’s hard to imagine what life will be like for them going forward but for now giving them a special day that they will never forget is what my hearts telling me I have to do.  

We have received an overwhelming amount of response from friends and family asking what they could do to help us during this difficult time. Our goal as a family is to take the children’s minds off of the horrible tragedies for just a moment and provide them with the best possible Christmas that we can.  

Any donation will help as this family does not have the financial means to achieve this goal. That is why I am compelled to do everything I can to make this happen for my niece and nephews.

This go fund me account was set up by me, Ricardo Decarlo, their uncle, and all proceeds will be given to Santino Zamora for his and Michelle’s children Tino, Noah and Bella.
